"The White Paper on Millets - A Policy Paper on Mainstreaming Millets for Nutritional Security in India", drafted by the Millets Consortium was launched virtually on 4th June 2021 by Shri Amitabh Kant, IAS, CEO, NITI Aayog. Shri. Amitabh Kant has congratulated all the stakeholders involved for coming up with this valuable advocacy for the governments and other players.

 

Shri. M Angamuthu, IAS, Chairman, APEDA and Shri Ashok Dalwai, IAS, CEO, NRAA, GoI have graced the event with their Guest of Honor address. Dr. Vilas A Tonapi, Director, ICAR-IIMR and Dr. Raj Bhandari, Member, NTBN, GoI have delivered the Inaugural remarks. Dr. B Dayakar Rao, Convener, Millets Consortium and Principal Scientist, ICAR-IIMR has coordinated the committee formation, drafting and e-launching the White Paper on Millets.

 

Other stakeholders of the Millets Consortium including DAC&FW, APEDA, MoFPI, FSSAI, ICMR, CSIR, ICAR-IIMR, ICRISAT, ITC Ltd, Britannia, Kellogg's, MTR Foods, Bigbasket, 24 Mantra, Soulful and Bharat Innovation Fund were involved in bringing out this Policy Paper and e-launching."
